Thanks I have quite a few data sets waiting but the ones I have processed have been excellent. I do not yet put any iimage on line as I have had many health issues and difficulties with software and hardware. I am a 73 year old learner with defective colour vision and barely 3 months using PixInsight and Photoshop cc so it is as steep for me as it is difficult to see stars in my letterbox of Bortle 7 city sky…

This was a fun image to process, especially since I had never worked with the Askar D2 filters before. One thing to note is that the three files are not quite star-aligned correctly, so be sure to do that first before processing these data yourself.

Great data. I am a PixInsight newbie but have 6 months of astrophotography experience courtesy of Seestar. Once I workrd out how to process the mono narrowband files I was able to produce a very acceptable image. I think. It isn’t goung on line but I printed it for my collection. Thank you! Sobre este conjunto

NGC 1788, also known as the Cosmic Bat Nebula, is presented here as a 36.85-hour integration captured between December 2025 and February 2026. The dataset combines 240 frames through an Optolong L-Extreme HA-OIII 7nm narrowband filter with 497 frames using an Optolong L-Pro broadband filter, all at 180-second exposures. Imaging was performed with a ZWO ASI 533MC Pro colour camera paired with an Askar 71F refractor on an AM3 mount. This reflection nebula in Orion offers a distinctive bat-like morphology in the data, with the dual-filter approach capturing both nebular emission detail and broader spectral information. The complete raw dataset is available as a free download under a CC BY-NC 4.0 license, permitting copying, modification and redistribution for non-commercial purposes.
