This dataset captures M101, the Pinwheel Galaxy (NGC 5457), a face-on spiral galaxy in Ursa Major renowned for its symmetric spiral structure and active star-forming regions. The data comprises 291 frames taken through an Optolong UV/IR filter, each exposed for 120 seconds, yielding a total integration time of 9.7 hours. Acquisition took place over three nights from March 15 to March 17, 2026, using a Celestron 11 EdgeHD telescope paired with a ZWO ASI294MC Pro colour camera on a NEQ6-Pro mount. The dataset is available as a one-time purchase for approximately $7.90 under a CC BY-NC 4.0 license, permitting copying, modification and redistribution for non-commercial purposes. With nearly ten hours of exposure, this collection provides substantial signal for resolving the galaxy's spiral arms, HII regions and outer structure.
