This dataset captures LDN 1235, commonly known as the Dark Shark Nebula, a dark nebula silhouetted against the rich star fields of Cepheus. The data comprises 120 frames taken with an Optolong L-Quad Enhance 2" filter, each exposed for 300 seconds, yielding 10 hours of total integration time. Acquisition took place between 12 January and 25 January 2026 using a Samyang 135mm F2.0 ED UMC lens paired with a ZWO ASI 533MC Pro camera on a Sky-Watcher EQ6 Pro mount. The narrowband-enhanced filter emphasizes the subtle nebulosity surrounding the dark molecular cloud while preserving the contrast that gives this object its distinctive shark-like profile. Released under the CC0 1.0 Universal license, this dataset is available as a free download for anyone wishing to process or study this intriguing deep-sky target.
