IC 405 (the Flaming Star Nebula), located 1,500 light-years away in the Auriga constellation, is a 5-light-year-wide emission/reflection nebula. It surrounds the irregular variable star AE Aurigae, which illuminates the hydrogen gas and dust, creating its signature red (emission) and blue (reflection) "flaming" appearance. With a magnitude of +6.0, it is a popular, relatively close, and large target for amateur astrophotography
This is my first experience with LRGB+Ha and couldn’t quite get the formula right for adding the luminance, but I feel she is clean and natural , my next attempt will be to add luminance and increase the saturation.
