I’ve downloaded multiple images from AstrophotoMarket. Given cloudy skies and smokey skies it allowed me to continue to hone my skills. All have worked out well. I started with simple images and, as my processing skills improved, added more complex images. I would highly recommend AstrophotoMarket.

Autumn is now upon us and with forever cloudy skies with unpredictable rain thrown in. Not exactly the opportunity to to view capture deep sky objects. There is the opportunity to buy into remote managed bortle class 1 observatories but at quite a significant outlay. Hence of my interest in the data sets from Astrophotomarkets as an alternative in these frustrating times. Not the same as perhaps your own but an opportunity to work with quality data collected a range of different locations and to view captures beyond the boundaries of my hemisphere.

As someone who is relatively new to astrophotography and the ongoing processes using such data set provides an excellent to checkout the array of tools with know quality data to work with.

And at the end of the day you can spend an enjoyable time at relative low cost and finish with a very positive result.

The quality of the data downloaded from Astrophoto was of good quality. It appears that the servers can only upload data at about 10Mbps, so my download speed was restricted to that value. Based on my exploration of the site, the value for the data within is quite good.

Generally good quality image and from my experience the subscription is a good value. I always align and crop the downloads to avoid any edge issues during gradient removal. Chris has always been very responsive to questions. Recommend!

Thanks I have quite a few data sets waiting but the ones I have processed have been excellent. I do not yet put any iimage on line as I have had many health issues and difficulties with software and hardware. I am a 73 year old learner with defective colour vision and barely 3 months using PixInsight and Photoshop cc so it is as steep for me as it is difficult to see stars in my letterbox of Bortle 7 city sky…

This was a fun image to process, especially since I had never worked with the Askar D2 filters before. One thing to note is that the three files are not quite star-aligned correctly, so be sure to do that first before processing these data yourself.

Great data. I am a PixInsight newbie but have 6 months of astrophotography experience courtesy of Seestar. Once I workrd out how to process the mono narrowband files I was able to produce a very acceptable image. I think. It isn’t goung on line but I printed it for my collection. Thank you! O tym zestawie

IC 63, also known as the γ Cas Nebula, appears in this dataset as a 22.5-hour integration captured between August and September 2025. The acquisition used a Sky-Watcher Esprit 120mm telescope paired with a ZWO ASI2600MM Pro camera on an AM5 mount. The imaging sequence comprises 88 luminance frames at 300 seconds each, 25 red frames, 26 blue frames, and 25 green frames, all through Antlia 2.00-inch filters. An additional 106 frames were captured through an Antlia 3nm H-alpha filter to isolate emission detail in this reflection and emission nebula near the star Gamma Cassiopeiae. The dataset is available as a one-time purchase at approximately $24.90 under a CC BY-NC 4.0 license, permitting copying, modification and redistribution for non-commercial purposes.
