This dataset captures NGC 5457, better known as the Pinwheel Galaxy, across 5.25 hours of total integration time. Acquired between March 1 and March 6, 2018, the data includes nine luminance frames at 900 seconds each, plus three frames apiece in red, green, and blue at 1200 seconds per exposure. All imaging used Astrodon Gen1 E-Series Tru-Balance filters.
The equipment configuration consisted of a TEC 160FL telescope paired with an SBIG 8300STF camera, mounted on a Paramount ME. The dataset is available as a free download under a CC BY-NC 4.0 license, permitting copying, modification, and redistribution for non-commercial purposes. This multi-night acquisition provides both broadband color channels and deeper luminance data suitable for detailed processing of this face-on spiral galaxy in Ursa Major.
