The Pencil Nebula, catalogued as NGC 2736, is a distinctive supernova remnant captured here through 9.25 hours of integration time. Data was collected over three nights between April 27 and April 29, 2026, using a Sky-Watcher 200PDS telescope paired with a ZWO ASI585MC Air camera on a Sky-Watcher AZ-EQ6 mount. The dataset consists of 111 frames taken through an Antlia ALP-T filter, each with a 300-second exposure.
This filamentary structure represents a small section of the much larger Vela supernova remnant complex. The raw data is available as a free download under a CC BY-NC 4.0 license, permitting copying, modification and redistribution for non-commercial purposes. The dataset provides researchers and imaging enthusiasts with calibrated frames suitable for further processing and analysis of this faint emission nebula.
