Transparent pricing

How selling works: fees, earnings and payouts

No small print. This is exactly what happens to the money when someone buys your data.

100%

You get 100% of your price

You set the author price. The full amount goes to your balance. The platform fee is added on top and paid by the buyer.

~30%

About 30% platform fee

Roughly 30% of what the buyer pays. It covers card payments, hosting, fast downloads, invoicing and promoting your data.

An e-mail for every sale

Each time someone buys your data set, you get a dedicated e-mail. You always know what sold.

$50

Low payout minimum

Payouts start at $50 / €50 / 200 zł. Request one from your dashboard and get paid via Wise.com or bank transfer.

Why cheaper data sets carry a higher fee

Stripe charges a percentage plus a fixed fee on every card payment. On a small sale, that fixed part takes a big bite. That is why data sets priced under $10 carry a higher fee, about half of the final price. From $10 up, the standard rate of about 30% applies.

  • What the platform fee covers
  • Secure card payments by Stripe
  • Hosting and fast downloads
  • Invoices and customer support
  • Promoting your data sets
Pricing tip In our experience, data sets priced between $15 and $40 sell best. Higher prices do sell, just less often.

Common questions

Can I share data for free?

Yes. Free data sets carry no fees at all. Many authors publish a few free ones to build an audience, then sell the rest.

What is the minimum price?

A paid data set can be priced from $4 / €4 / 16 zł. Anything lower would not even cover the card fees.

How often are payouts made?

Whenever you like. There is no fixed schedule. Once your balance reaches the minimum, request a payout and it is usually processed within 5 business days.

What if a buyer uses a discount code?

Your payout for that sale is reduced by the same percentage as the discount. Without a code you always get your full price.

Who owns the data?

You do. You keep the copyright and choose the license for each data set.
