37 new datasets this week

Deep-sky data from real telescopes. Ready to process tonight.

Master light frames and calibrated FITS files from astrophotographers around the world. Pick a target, download the data and start processing. Clouds are no longer a problem.

  • 157 free datasets, no card needed
  • 32-bit FITS master frames
  • Download right after checkout
How it works

One marketplace. Three ways to use it.

AstrophotoMarket.com is a marketplace for deep-sky astrophotography data. Download it, sell your own, or order new data from a remote telescope.

01 Get data

Skip calibration and stacking. Start processing ready master frames.

  1. Step 1: Pick a dataset Browse the catalog of paid and free datasets and choose your target.
  2. Step 2: Add to cart and check out Free datasets cost nothing: create an account, add them to the cart at no cost. No card needed.
  3. Step 3: Download and process Get calibrated, stacked master light frames as 32-bit FITS and open them in PixInsight, Siril or any FITS software.
  • 468 datasets
  • 157 free
  • 32-bit FITS

02 Sell or share your data

Turn your imaging nights into datasets others can buy or download for free.

  1. Step 1: Create an account Register, then open the upload form.
  2. Step 2: Upload and set a price Use the 3-step upload form for master light frames or single calibrated FITS files. Set your price, or share them for free.
  3. Step 3: Go live and get paid After review your dataset goes live in the catalog, and you are paid for every sale.
  • 63 astrophotographers already publish here
  • Master lights or single FITS

03 Order remote imaging

A remote telescope images your target. The data is yours alone.

  1. Step 1: Choose your target Enter the object name and the coordinates of the image centre, then pick the telescope.
  2. Step 2: Plan filters and exposures Choose filters, sub-exposure length, number of frames and how much moonlight is acceptable.
  3. Step 3: Accepted, paid, downloaded The telescope owner accepts your request and only then you pay. When the frames are taken, you download your exclusive calibrated and raw data.
  • from $7.90 per hour
  • No subscription needed
  • Minimum order: 30 minutes
FAQ

Questions, answered.

What exactly is a "master light"?
A stacked, calibrated image made from all the sub‑exposures of one filter. You skip calibration and stacking and go straight to stretching, noise reduction and colour work. Delivered as 32‑bit FITS.
Is the free data really free?
Yes. Create a free account, add the dataset to your cart at $0 and download. No card, no trial.
Which software can open the files?
Anything that reads FITS: PixInsight, Siril, GraXpert, Astro Pixel Processor, DeepSkyStacker, ASTAP, Photoshop with a FITS plugin, and more.
Can I post my result online?
Absolutely — that's the point. Please credit the data author and link back; each listing shows the license.
Do you have data from my hemisphere?
Both. Northern targets from Spain/Canada/Poland and southern ones from Australia and New Zealand.
How do I sell my own data?
Register, use the 3‑step upload form, set your price. After review it goes live in the catalog and you're paid out for every sale.
