I’ve downloaded multiple images from AstrophotoMarket. Given cloudy skies and smokey skies it allowed me to continue to hone my skills. All have worked out well. I started with simple images and, as my processing skills improved, added more complex images. I would highly recommend AstrophotoMarket.

Autumn is now upon us and with forever cloudy skies with unpredictable rain thrown in. Not exactly the opportunity to to view capture deep sky objects. There is the opportunity to buy into remote managed bortle class 1 observatories but at quite a significant outlay. Hence of my interest in the data sets from Astrophotomarkets as an alternative in these frustrating times. Not the same as perhaps your own but an opportunity to work with quality data collected a range of different locations and to view captures beyond the boundaries of my hemisphere.

As someone who is relatively new to astrophotography and the ongoing processes using such data set provides an excellent to checkout the array of tools with know quality data to work with.

And at the end of the day you can spend an enjoyable time at relative low cost and finish with a very positive result.

This is a great site. I have downloaded some of the free images to practice my post processing skills. It’s great to have a wider selection of targets (like those from the southern hemisphere) to practice on. Hope to upload some data when I get some quality time on targets.

The quality of the data downloaded from Astrophoto was of good quality. It appears that the servers can only upload data at about 10Mbps, so my download speed was restricted to that value. Based on my exploration of the site, the value for the data within is quite good.

Generally good quality image and from my experience the subscription is a good value. I always align and crop the downloads to avoid any edge issues during gradient removal. Chris has always been very responsive to questions. Recommend!

Thanks I have quite a few data sets waiting but the ones I have processed have been excellent. I do not yet put any iimage on line as I have had many health issues and difficulties with software and hardware. I am a 73 year old learner with defective colour vision and barely 3 months using PixInsight and Photoshop cc so it is as steep for me as it is difficult to see stars in my letterbox of Bortle 7 city sky…

This was a fun image to process, especially since I had never worked with the Askar D2 filters before. One thing to note is that the three files are not quite star-aligned correctly, so be sure to do that first before processing these data yourself.

I'm getting to grips with PixInsight and needed some real world data files. Astrophotomarket seemed to be the best choice and recommend.

I can say I definitely made the right choice for data files.

Not ready to publish yet but will do so as soon as I can.

La qualité des images est vraiment très bonne.
Quand la météo est mauvaise, comme chez moi depuis des semaines, c'est vraiment un plaisir de pouvoir s'entrainer avec ces données.
Je recommande !! //English: The image quality is really very good.

Great data. I am a PixInsight newbie but have 6 months of astrophotography experience courtesy of Seestar. Once I workrd out how to process the mono narrowband files I was able to produce a very acceptable image. I think. It isn’t goung on line but I printed it for my collection. Thank you! I could not be more pleased with this, my first purchase of data sets from AstrophotoMarket.com. To begin, I found the website easy to navigate and replete with the information I needed to make an informed purchasing decision. Payment was quick and easy, and the data sets became available for download promptly after I made payment. As for the quality of the data, it matched my high expectations. Processing the data sets was a pleasure, and I am thoroughly satisfied with the resulting images. I am certain that I will be availing myself of AstrophotoMarket.com data in the future.

Sobre este conjunto

LDN 1235, commonly known as the Dark Shark Nebula, is a dark nebula captured over three nights from August 23 to 25, 2025. This dataset comprises 11.87 hours of total integration time across RGB channels using an Askar 400 telescope paired with a ZWO ASI2600MM Pro camera on an AM5 mount. The acquisition includes 133 frames through an Antlia Red 2.00" filter, 112 frames through Antlia Green, and 111 frames through Antlia Blue, all at 120-second exposures. The data is available as a free download under a CC BY-NC 4.0 license, permitting copying, modification, and redistribution for non-commercial purposes. This RGB dataset provides nearly twelve hours of calibrated exposures suitable for processing the distinctive dark molecular cloud structure that gives this nebula its shark-like appearance.
