Master Light Frames. Raw astronomical data captured by the camera. Already calibrated, registered and stacked light frames ready for processing in software like PixInsight. Files have FITS extension. Product description above explains how many light frames are included. For example: for typical LRGB image you will receive separate files for R, G, B and L channel (4 files).
How are those files calibrated and stacked?
We use the newest version of PixInsight software and WBPP script standard process with Local Normalization applied.
How do I purchase Image?
We work as any other standard on-line store. Simply add the image to the cart, provide your personal data for the bill/invoice and pay for the order by Credit Card - Payments are handled by Stripe (currently only one acceptable payment method).
I am not satisfied with the purchase
All files are carefully checked but if you're not satisfied - just write us within 14 days from purchase and we will make a refund. We only require that after the refund you delete all purchased files.

Description
I had seen that the SMC has notable Ha zones. So i planned some long Ha integration sessions from Bortle 7, combined with a short amount of LRGB stars from a Bortle 2 location. (maybe in future could do some Oiii to get the blue nebula parts). I had to use masks in Pixinight to get the Ha only to come over (i didnt want the HA stars or stacking artifacts coming in).

About this dataset

This dataset captures the Small Magellanic Cloud with its hydrogen-alpha nebulae, recorded over a month from October to November 2025. The collection comprises nearly 14 hours of total integration time, combining 163 five-minute exposures through a Baader 7nm Ha filter with 80 fifteen-second broadband RGB frames using the Astronomika Deepsky RGB set. The imaging train consisted of a Redcat 51 telescope paired with a ZWO ASI1600MM Pro monochrome camera, mounted on a Sky-Watcher Star Adventurer GTI. The narrowband hydrogen-alpha data reveals emission nebulae within this dwarf galaxy, while the RGB frames provide colour information for stars and continuum structures. The dataset is available as a free download under a CC BY-NC 4.0 license, permitting copying, modification and redistribution for non-commercial purposes.
