What exactly am I buying?
Master Light Frames. Raw astronomical data captured by the camera. Already calibrated, registered and stacked light frames ready for processing in software like PixInsight. Files have FITS extension. Product description above explains how many light frames are included. For example: for typical LRGB image you will receive separate files for R, G, B and L channel (4 files).

In case of this data set, in addition to the Master Light Frames, there are also individual, already calibrated FITS files available for download. You can use them in combination with your own frames, for example, to register & stack the image to increase the exposure time and boost the signal.
How are those files calibrated and stacked?
We use the newest version of PixInsight software and WBPP script standard process with Local Normalization applied.
How do I purchase Image?
We work as any other standard on-line store. Simply add the image to the cart, provide your personal data for the bill/invoice and pay for the order by Credit Card - Payments are handled by Stripe (currently only one acceptable payment method).
I am not satisfied with the purchase
All files are carefully checked but if you're not satisfied - just write us within 14 days from purchase and we will make a refund. We only require that after the refund you delete all purchased files.

Description
Some light frames in the dataset are "damaged" by wind, but PixInsight's pixel rejection algorithms handle this problem very well, so I decided to include these frames in the Master Light Frame and dataset package.

In case of this data set, in addition to the Master Light Frames, there are also individual, already calibrated FITS files available for download. You can use them in combination with your own frames, for example, to register & stack the image to increase the exposure time and boost the signal.

About this dataset

This dataset captures Sh2-224, a faint emission nebula in Cassiopeia, through 32.5 hours of narrowband imaging collected between December 17 and 29, 2024. The data comprises 176 frames through an Antlia 3nm H-alpha filter (300 seconds each) and 214 frames through an Antlia 3nm OIII filter (also 300 seconds each), all acquired with an ASI294MM Pro monochrome camera on a TS-130 APO refractor mounted to an AM5. This dual-filter approach isolates the nebula's ionized hydrogen and oxygen emissions, revealing structural details often lost in broadband imaging.
