How are those files calibrated and stacked?
We use the newest version of PixInsight software and WBPP script standard process with Local Normalization applied.
How do I purchase Image?
We work as any other standard on-line store. Simply add the image to the cart, provide your personal data for the bill/invoice and pay for the order by Credit Card - Payments are handled by Stripe (currently only one acceptable payment method).

Description
A spectacular star-forming region in the Large Magellanic Cloud, our nearest neighbouring galaxy, about 160,000 light-years away. This entire scene is happening inside another galaxy — every star and gas cloud you see is well outside the Milky Way. The pink and red emission is hydrogen-alpha (Ha) from the young massive stars of NGC 2014 ionising the surrounding molecular cloud — a giant stellar nursery currently producing new stars at a furious rate. The striking cyan-blue bubble in the upper-right is NGC 2020, a Wolf-Rayet ring nebula: a perfectly spherical shell of doubly-ionised oxygen gas being blown outward by the fierce stellar wind of a single dying massive star at its centre. The Wolf-Rayet star, WR 9, is shedding mass at hundreds of times the rate of our Sun's solar wind, sculpting the surrounding gas into the geometric bubble shape. This same region was made famous by the Hubble Space Telescope in 2020 — its 30th anniversary image called "The Cosmic Reef" shows exactly this scene with a similar palette. The small embedded clusters of bright blue stars scattered through the field are young open clusters within the LMC, while the bright open cluster on the left of the frame is an older LMC star cluster sitting in projection.

About this dataset

NGC 2018, also known as the Chalice Nebula, resides within a star-forming complex in the Large Magellanic Cloud. This dataset comprises 8.83 hours of integration time collected between December 2025 and April 2026. The acquisition consists of 106 frames captured through an Antlia ALP-T filter, each with a 300-second exposure. Imaging was performed using a Sky-Watcher 200PDS telescope paired with a ZWO ASI585MC Air camera, mounted on a Sky-Watcher EQ6 Pro. The data is available as a free download under a CC BY-NC 4.0 license, permitting copying, modification and redistribution for non-commercial purposes. This collection offers researchers and astrophotographers access to calibrated raw frames of an active stellar nursery in our nearest galactic neighbor.
